Silvretta Ski-Arena Samnaun/Ischgl
Largest ski area in the Eastern Alps
Samnaun in the canton of Graubünden and Ischgl in the Austrian province of Tyrol together form the Silvretta Ski Arena. 239 kilometres of pistes and 45 transport facilities offer unlimited snow fun and ensure that Samnaun/Ischgl is one of the most popular ski areas in the Alps.
The ski area ranges in altitude from 1400 to 2872 metres above sea level. The winter season lasts from the end of November to the beginning of May. Thanks to the altitude and numerous snowmakers, the Silvretta Ski Arena can be described as very snow-sure.
The slopes are varied and offer something for all levels. For beginners, there are flat and well-prepared slopes, while advanced skiers can look forward to more challenging descents. Freeriders will find plenty of opportunities in the deep snow slopes and freestylers will enjoy the snow park.
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Samnaun also offers a range of other activities in winter. For example, there is an ice skating rink, cross-country ski trails, winter hiking trails and a sled run.
